ARPA, the federal government’s economic stimulus bill, has granted $1.85 trillion to state and local governments to mitigate the negative consequences of the pandemic.

Massachusetts’ Share: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has been a significant beneficiary, receiving approximately $8.7 billion to bolster our response to the pandemic. This includes:

$5.3 billion for state-level initiatives through the Coronavirus State Fiscal Recovery Fund.

$3.4 billion directed towards local municipalities and counties via the Coronavirus Local Fiscal Recovery Fund.

An additional $25 million allocated to tribal governments within Massachusetts, ensuring a wide-reaching support network across our state.
